Our teachers are putting the finishing touches on their classrooms, and we're ready to welcome students back for the 2022-23 school year on Thursday, Sept. 8.
Here are UV's Top 10 Back to School Tips!
1. Elementary student-drop off for parent-transport is at the side door by the loading dock between 7:45 a.m. and 8:05 a.m. After 8:05 a.m., students must come in through the front doors and check in at the Elementary Office.
2. The dismissal time for the Elementary and Secondary schools this year is 3:05 p.m.
3. UV has transitioned to a new website that includes a mobile app. The website URL remains www.uvstorm.org. The mobile app can be found in your app store by searching “Unadilla Valley."
4. UV is once again participating in the CEP program, which offers no-cost breakfasts and lunches to all students. No paperwork is required to participate, but completing the CEP form is helpful for the district to maintain the program and for families to seek certain kinds of assistance. The form is available here.
5. Supply lists are available on the district website. Elementary lists may be found here and Secondary lists are located here.
6. The Secondary School Parent-Student Handbook is a useful resource to help our families understand the policies, procedures and expectations for the 2022-23 school year.
7. Elementary students should ensure they have a water bottle labeled with their name and that all backpacks and other belongings are also labeled.
