After Prom Party Committee Hits Its Stride; Plans Fundraisers.
The Unadilla Valley After Prom Party 2018 Committee is hosting several donation drawings this month as part of its fundraising and outreach activities in support of a safe and fun prom night next spring.

Affordable chances for a holiday dinner basket will be available at home modified sports events. They are also available by contacting members of the After Prom Party Committee. The drawing for the Christmas dinner basket, which will include all the trimmings, will be at the boys' modified game on Monday, Dec. 18.  Other drawings for themed baskets – movie night, family fun activities, and sports – will be featured during the UVCS Holiday Basketball Tournament on Dec. 27 and 28.

The After Prom Party Committee includes parent volunteers of the UVCS Class of 2019, and includes Jeanine Potter, Kimberly Gillette, Terri Jackson, Tammy Carpenter, Elvie Smith, Lori Grace, and Lisa Rifanburg.  To learn more or ask questions, visit the group's Facebook Page, Unadilla Valley After Prom Party 2018 @Uvafterpromparty2018.  Other parents and community members are invited to the next meeting at the UVCS Library on Tuesday, Dec. 12 at 4:30 p.m.

The 2018 UVCS Junior Prom is set for Saturday, May 12, from 8 p.m. through midnight. The After Prom Party will take place at the school afterwards through the early hours of May 13.  The committee is raising funds to host group events that will encourage students to remain at school and avoid unsupervised and potentially unsafe parties.

The UV After School Prom Party 2018 will meet frequently during the 2017-18 school year to organize fund raisers, and to plan after prom events.
