UV Elementary reaches goal of filling over 90 buckets this year
The students at UV Elementary School reached the goal of filling more than 90 buckets this year in a program aimed at creating positive behavior in the classroom.

Every classroom from kindergarten through fifth grade has a bucket that the teacher fills with pom poms whenever he/she notices positive behaviors in the classroom. Elementary School counselor, Sheri Houck, started the program four years ago.

"Collaboration with teachers and staff have allowed this program to be a meaningful tool to teach students about their emotional health and how their behaviors affect themselves and others," she said. "(After reaching their goal) students were given ice cream sundaes to celebrate."
