School Utility Work Successfully Completed
Work to switch computer servers out on Wednesday, Dec. 20 was successfully completed. All operations at the school have returned to normal.
The work caused a planned disruption to important district utilities including communications. We are committed to the safety of all of our students and staff at Unadilla Valley, and having communications being down for several hours during a school day prompted the planned closure of the school, which was covered by the use of an emergency day.

The closure could not occur over the holiday break due to scheduling concerns with BT BOCES, who will be doing the work.  Also, the district had originally planned to do this work before the start of classes for this school year. However, delays by state officials in the Smart Schools Bond Act approval process, which affected about 400 school districts statewide, created a situation where the district was forced to move its timetable back several months.

We apologize for any inconvenience this event caused, and we appreciate your support as we continue to make improvements to our school. Thank you for your understanding regarding this matter.
