FAQ: School budget vote; voter information
What am I voting on?
 Voters will decide on a proposed 2018-19 budget of $20,157,866, which would result in a 1.50 percent tax levy increase. There is also a school bus proposition on the ballot, a board of education election and a separate and independent public library proposition. 

When and where is the vote?
 The vote is from noon to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 15, in the school district lobby at 4238 State Highway 8 in New Berlin.

Who can vote?
 All voters must be U.S. citizens aged 18 years or older who have been district residents for at least 30 days prior to the vote. Personal identification/proof of residency may be requested.

What if I can’t vote in person on May 15?
 Qualified district residents who can’t vote in person on May 15 may vote by absentee ballot. Call (607) 847-7500, x1131, for an application. 
 The applications must be received by the district clerk at least seven days before the vote. All ballots are due to the district clerk no later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, the day of the vote. For more information on the budget vote, please see our budget news article.
