Sign-ups still available for Summer Storm Chasers
Summer Storm Chasers is the summer program for students in the Unadilla Valley School District who would like to attend a fun summer experience here at school, with teachers!  We have the following programs open to students who are interested in summer programming.  Reasonable costs will be charged for those students who attend for enrichment. 

Times will be from 7:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with breakfast and lunch included. If you have signed up for summer swim during these weeks, please understand that your student will be pulled from the Storm Chasers program for slightly less than an hour during the morning.  If you will need bus transportation, please note that on the attached form with your son or daughter's choice of camps for 1 or more weeks. (You may chose up to 4 weeks of camp.) 

Kindergarten through Grade 2, Food is Fuel (July 23 through July 26, July 30 to Aug. 2)
Want to learn how to make some snacks and taste test?  Want to design your own apron?  Want to see how creative you can be while eating healthy? Learn liquid and dry measure.   Do you think you can win a cupcake war?  Can you crack an egg without eating the shells?  Well sign-up for COOKING THE KINDERSNACK WAY WITH MRS. PROHASKA......and finish by exploring how aquaponics can produce food.

Kindergarten through Grade 6, STEAM Train (Available all weeks)
Want to work with computers? Code a program? Make a video? Be a Maker?  Write a story?  We want to offer you an opportunity to do these and many more STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) projects this summer.  Sign up for 1 week or more and determine which activities expand your imagination!  Come join us and try your hand at problem solving the STEAM Train way!

Grade 1 through Grade 5, Puppet Theatre (Available any of 3 weeks, July 16 through Aug. 2) 
Our puppetry class is a unique experience for creative minds. Working alongside our experienced teacher, students will not only explore the history and styles of puppetry, but will spend their days designing and creating their own elaborate puppet friends to take home, but not before demonstrating their puppeteering skills during an end of session performance for friends and family. Students will also take away skills in script writing and editing, public speaking, and backstage etiquette. It promises to be a fun and learning-filled experience!

Grade 6 through Grade 9 Robotic Crash Course (July 9 through July 12)
This hands on course will be teaching the basics of robot systems through hands on design challenges. We will doing dead reckoning programing, barrel races, robot drawing, sumo bots, 3d printing, and a maze challenge. Students will learn the basics of programing, 3d modeling,  and sensors.  

On the attached form, please document the first and second choice for any weeks you wish to attend.  We look forward to having a great turn out, breakfast and lunch are included.  The base cost (max) for Monday through Thursday, 7:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. per week is $100.  There will be a sliding scale based on income. Bills will be sent with confirmation of space(s) in the Storm Chaser week of your choice(s).
