Class of 2015 co-valedictorians and salutatorian announced
The Unadilla Valley Central School District is proud to announce that Alex Avolio and Hank deGlee are the co-valedictorians for the Class of 2015 and Niarra Borden is the salutatorian.

Alex is the son of Dave and Kim Avolio of New Berlin. Alex will graduate from UV with an overall average over 97. He will receive an advanced Regents diploma with honors with mastery in math and science.
He continues to challenge himself his senior year with college courses in English and math. Alex has participated in activities outside the classroom including Student Council, FBLA, football, track and field, and wrestling. He is also a member of the National Honor Society.
Alex plans to attend St. Lawrence University to study biology. He also plans to join the football team.



Hank is the son of Anna deGlee of South New Berlin. Hank will also graduate from UV with an overall average over 97. He will receive an advanced Regents diploma with honors with mastery in math and science. He also has completed his associate’s degree in agricultural business from Morrisville State College.
In addition to his required courses at UV, Hank also takes college courses at Morrisville State College in farm management, business law, environmental economics, and marketing of agricultural products.
Hank is also a member of the National Honor Society and has participated in football and basketball. Hank plans to attend Cornell University and major in an undetermined agricultural field. He will also join the football team.


Niarra is the daughter of Carla Borden of South New Berlin and Anthony Williams of Dorchester, MA. Niarra will graduate with an overall average above 96.
She will receive an advanced Regents diploma with honors with mastery in math and science.
Niarra has participated in the New Visions Law and Government Program in addition to her other required senior courses.
She has participated in student council, mock trial, Spanish club, FBLA, and is a member of the National Honor Society.
Niarra plans to attend Cornell University and major in economics. Eventually, she would like to attend law school to become an attorney.
