Pharmacist visits biotechnology and chemistry classes
On Oct. 21, Josh Gronwall made a visit to Unadilla Valley to share his experiences and talk about current career as a pharmacist at Bartle’s Pharmacy in Oxford.

Gronwall, a 1994 graduate from New Berlin, attended Massachusetts College of Pharmacy to earn his doctor of pharmacy degree in 2000 and finished at the top of his class.

He gave a thorough explanation of his life as a pharmacist and the importance of being able to interact with the public as well as understanding how various medications interact. He spoke to students in Mr. Jackson’s biotechnology class and Mr. Wolford’s chemistry classes and shared that his early interest in science and math led him to his career.

He placed an emphasis on the importance of working hard to perform well in school and to take academics seriously. He also encouraged students to persevere through difficulties and to take advantage of the opportunities to gain college credit from courses offered at UVCS.
