UV board member, Victoria Gregory, receives the Marshman-Hall Commitment to Education award
DCMO BOCES recently announced that UV Board of Education member Victoria Gregory received the 10th annual Marshman-Hall Commitment to Education award. Gregory is also anagriculture technology teacher at Afton.

The Marshman-Hall Commitment to Education award is presented to an educator in the DCMO BOCES region for having a significant impact on their students and community, much like Dan Marshman and Bob Hall did.

Dan Marshman and Bob Hall served their communities and BOCES in an exemplary fashion. Both men were focused on quality, continuous improvement, community collaboration, and, most importantly, students. They gave unselfishly of their time, their ideas, their support, and of themselves. The DCMO BOCES Board of Education commemorates their service through this memorial award that annually recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to education in our BOCES region.

This year’s recipient, Mrs. Gregory has taught Agriculture technology for twenty-five years at Afton central School. She has served on the Board of Education at Unadilla Valley Central School for eighteen years; serving as the first president of the Unadilla Valley Board.

She is in the DCMO BOCES Alumni Hall of Fame, she was a Chenango County School Board Association Member of the Year, she received an honorary National FFA American degree, and she has been the New berlin Citizen of the Year. She is a past Chenango County School Board President, past New York FFA Foundation Chairperson, and she is currently the Pittsfield Fire Department Secretary and the new Berlin Rotary RYLA Chairperson.

Mrs. Gregory’s philosophy is to invest time, energy, and money into youth as she feels that the investment will pay rewards later in the form of a positive community that values education.

Congratulations Mrs. Gregory on your award and thank you for all that you do for Unadilla Valley!
